Few days back a competition was organized where students were asked to make a video presentation to become UK's top diplomat in India: Although the idea sounds far-fetched, but Noida college student Esha Bahal proved it correct and was declared the winner.
Bahal won this video presentation contest held by the High Commission to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child. The theme of the competition was "What does gender equality mean to you?"And the overwhelming prize cum reward was that the winner would get a chance to be the British High Commissioner to India for a day.
Bahal, who was one of 58 contestants, became the British High Commissioner to India for a day. Sir Dominic Asquith, who temporarily became Deputy High Commissioner, told ANI that Esha was "impressive" and "clearly committed to girls' rights".
"To me, gender equality means equality between all genders, not just males and females," Bahal says in a video posted by the High Commission on Twitter.
Esha has very well defined gender equality in her video where she said-"It means equality, not just in the letter of the law, but also in multiple social life situations".
