OWNER KILLS CUSTOMER FOR COMPLAINT AGAINST FOOD QUALITY

Complaining about the food quality to the eatery staff cost a customer with his life in east Delhi's Preet Vihar. According to the police, the deceased, Pawan Kumar was himself a daily wage employee and owned an eatery himself in Mandawli. On Sunday evening the deceased had visited Kamal Dhaba in Preet Vihar. After he was served the food, which Kumar did not like, he complained about its quality to one of the staff members. In return one of the employees got furious and started arguing with Kumar. The argument turned into a scuffle and three of the eatery employees allegedly attacked Kumar. "We rushed to the spot after receiving a call from a passerby and took him to a private hospital wherein he succumbed to his injuries late on Sunday night," said a police officer. The three brutally beat up Kumar with heavy utensils that they acquired. Kumar was hit several times on his head, chest, and abdomen, which lead to multiple injuries as he collapsed on the ground and succumbed to his injuries later in the night. "We have arrested the three accused, who have been identified as Sachin, Govind and Karan, under section 307 (attempt to murder) and section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC)," the officer added.
