Politics against movies is not a new thing in India. Whether it comes to the content, dialogues or presentation of facts in the film. Without any exception, same is happening with the upcoming flick ‘Padmavati’ starring Deepika Padukone, Ranvir Singh, Shahid Kapoor in lead roles. The Padmavati controversy started since the film went on the floor, its sets were vandalized twice. Then onwards the threats, the degrading comments were never-ending. Starting from Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Kesav Prasad Maurya who said that they would not allow the release of the film in the state unless its “controversial portions” were removed. Rajasthan higher and technical education minister Kiran Maheshwari joined the league and said, "deceit in any case with the history of immortal valor of such women cannot be accepted."
