In a recent shocking incident, a pregnant Pakistani singer was shot dead while she was performing at a wedding in Southern Pakistan. The deceased has been identified as Samina Sindhu, a local folk singer, she was performing in a village near Larkana when suddenly suspected Tariq Jatoi shot Sindhu after she had refused to dance while singing. Deceased's husband, Aashiq Ali quoted media saying;
Samina declined to dance because she was pregnant, Her refusal enraged the accused who killed her.Sidhu was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead on arrival. On the initial stage, the Police had refused to register any complaint and had termed the murder as an 'accident'. The Station house officer (SHO) was suspended for declining register a complaint. Javed Brohi, a spokesperson for Sindh Fankaar Welfare Trust, demanded justice for the family. “Artists who spread happiness among the people are getting dead bodies in return,” he said.
