Manmohan Singh Lodhi is a national level para-athlete who was assured of a government job by the governement of the state. He is now begging on the streets of Bhopal to earn a livelihood for himself and his family. It was during the 2017 National Games that he won a medal in the event of 100m race. He alleges that he met the Chief Minister four times in 2017 to claim the promised job. But all his efforts went in vain when he got no positive response from the Madhya Pradesh govenrment. Manmohan also added that if he got no response from the governement, he would have tp beg on the streets of the state and earn his livelihood. I am financially weak. I need money to play and also to run my family." He further added, "If Chief Minister doesn't help me, I will earn my livelihood by begging on the streets." Lodhi was seen on the streets wearing the Indian jersey and medals around his neck. This is the biggest irony of his life that he being a national medalist has not got what he was promised by the government. Manmohan had lost one of his hand while performing a labour task. But this unfortunate incident did not defeat him because he moved ahead with all the positivity in his mind. This prositivity lead him in giving an extremely impressive performance during his event in the 2017 National Games.
