PLAYING MANMOHAN SINGH WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT ROLE OF MY CAREER SAYS ANUPAM KHER

Prominent veteran actor Anupam Kher has spent almost three decades in the Indian film industry and has done over 500 films, but according to the actor playing former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was the most difficult part of his career. While talking to media at a recent award ceremony the actor quoted;

I have studied the character of Manmohan Singh for four months and it is the most difficult role that I have done. I hope the audience will see his journey on-screen really soon.
Based on the 2014 memoir of the same name, written by Dr. Singh’s media adviser Sanjay Baru, the film revolves around the life of Dr. Singh, the economist, and politician who served as the Prime Minister of India from 2004 to 2014 under the United Progressive Alliance. Earlier a video of him in as Manmohan Singh has been one of the most trending videos on the internet. https://twitter.com/filmibeat/status/984312644927553537 At the awards ceremony, Anupam received a special honor for his contribution to Indian theatre and cinema.
I have come straight here only to receive this award from England after completing my shooting (schedule) for 'The Accidental Prime Minister'. I am really honored and fortunate to receive this award. The kind of contribution that the Mangeshkar family has in the world of music is really unbelievable. They have not only won our hearts with their music, but with voices of Mangeshkar sisters, they have united the nation and that is their achievement. It's a great feeling to receive an honour by them.
Anupam dedicated the award to youngsters from rural parts of India. The film also features Akshaye Khanna, who will play Baru, and Suzanne Bernert, who will portray former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, among others. Directed by debutant Vijay Gutte and written by Hansal Mehta, the flick is all set to hit the theatres on December 21, 2018.
