Every girl dreams of having a clear and glowing angel-like skin. But it isn't always easy to maintain your skin's health and beauty, especially during summer. Summer heat, hectic lifestyle and sleepiness result as a super difficult task to maintain your skin. But it isn't impossible. You don't need long hours to take care of your skin nor all the chemicals of the world. Just 10-15 minutes of your day can give you the skin you always dreamt of. Below are some skin care tips for summer that will bless you with beautiful glowing skin.
Here it goes!
Firstly, why you should exfoliate is to remove the dead skin cells that pile up in your skin making it look dull and ugly. And the summer heat always leaves heaps of dead skin cells and sweat that make your skin dirty. In order to remove these dead skin cells exfoliate at least twice a day. You don't need to buy fancy chemical filled exfoliators get the ingredients from your kitchen and go natural. A scrub made from rice powder and rose water or milk can do wonders to your skin. Even honey mixed with small grains of sugar is the best natural exfoliator.
2. Hydrate/Eat Water
Did you know you could eat water? Oh yes! While drinking water is a must to keep your body hydrated and flush out toxins you can also eat water. By eating water we mean, have fruits and veggies that have a lot of water in it. Cucumber, Watermelon, Tomatoes, Bell Pepper, Radish, lettuce etc are 90% water. Include these in your meals and have a glowing skin plus a healthy body. You can even have them as salads or juices.
Sunscreen should be every girl's best friend. While it is mandatory during summer, you shouldn't ignore them during other seasons as well. Here we would also like to break the myth that you should apply sunscreen only if you are heading out. Your skin needs protection even when you are indoors. During summer apply sunscreen at least half an hour before stepping out in the sun. Reapply, if you are continuously in the sun or need to get out again. If you are indoors, reapply every two hours. It is very important to choose the right SPF that suits your skin. The market these days is filled with a variety of sunscreens with SPFs ranging from 15 to 70 and even higher than that. Some of them are so strong that you needn't reapply them even after several hours.
At times sunscreen is not enough. When you spend too much time in the sun, your face is exposed to rashness, tan, and even severe sunburns. Now, to cure these and prevent it from becoming extreme you can again pick ingredients from your kitchen. Apply ground Potato, plain Yogurt, mint and tea mixture to your face if you undergo rashness and sunburn. If it becomes severe then you can consult a dermatologist.
5. Lip Protection
Of course, you need to protect your lips as well. They are also a part of your face and a beautiful lip adds to the beauty of your face. Rather than going for shiny lip glosses, go for matte lipsticks with SPF in them. Choose your lip products with at least an SPF of 15. You can exfoliate your lips at home with sugar and olive oil if they become dry and begin to peel off. Try and look for lip products that have beeswax, paraffin or petroleum jelly in it. The gorgeous Neeru Bajwa[/caption] POLLYWOOD DIVA NEERU BAJWA
once shared her beauty secret and guess what? She drinks at least 13 glasses of water per day
(No wonder she has such glowing skin). She also revealed that she uses olive oil
to remove her makeup and fresh milk cream
to moisturize her skin. Now that just justifies the beautiful skin she has. Tip: Rather than considering skin care as an extra task, make it a part of your life (like breathing) and the word unhealthy skin will disappear forever from your dictionary.
