Rajkummar Rao is currently tasting success after the film, Stree, got an amazing response from the audience. Mouni entered the Bollywood industry with Akshay Kumar starrer, Gold. Dinesh Vijan, producer of the film noticed that how invincible the Chinese market had become. During an interview with one of the leading dailies, he said, "The story of a struggling but ambitious businessman is so relatable and Raj and Mouni have distinct looks that are true to the film’s fabric. The shoot is going well even though we were filming in Ahmedabad’s Old City over the weekend. The gallis are so narrow that cars can’t pass through. The actors had to be ferried to the location, Lakshmi Narayan Pol, quietly in autorickshaws because after Stree, Raj is quite the rage here." Talking about casting Mouni Roy in the film Viajn said, "We wanted someone who’d connect with the heartland and Mouni, a typical Indian beauty, has a huge fan following. She has a strong personality but gentle eyes and is a good dancer which is essential for the role as her character has a passion for classical Indian dance having learned it. She has started working on her Gujarati dialect." Mikhil Musale will be leading the entire team of Made In China to China next month for the second schedule of the film before the shotting gets finished in Mumbai. The film will be releasing on Independence Day 2019. Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer film, which also involves a story based in a small town is all set to hit the theatres on 28th September.
