'Ranveer Singh' and 'Arjun Kapoor' are the best buddies of B-town who have always given us hardcore friendship goals off-screen. Even on-screen they both never missed any chance to come along whether it comes to award show anchoring, shows as AIB Roast or talk shows like Koffee with Karan. Although, they have already worked together in action flick 'Gunday' starring 'Priyanka Chopra' and 'Irrfan Khan' in pivotal roles. But the movie didn't get much appreciated and couldn't make up for the people's expectations. Still, the former CBFC chief 'Pahlaj Nihalani' who have recently tasted failure with his movie 'Julie 2' is ready to take the risk with the talented duo by casting them together in his next venture. It will be a sequel to 1993 hit 'Aankhen' which starred 'Govinda' and 'Chunky Pandey' and will be titled as 'Aankhan Chaar'. 'Nihalani' said,
But if this plan doesn’t work the director is also ready with an escape plan as he further added,”Ranveer and Arjun are number one on my wish list. I want them to play the leads in 'Aankhan Chaar'. They have a great chemistry. With each character playing a double role, we will see two Ranveer and two Arjun, along with a chimpanzee".
About the plot of the feature he revealed,"Ranbir and Imran will also make an excellent combination, as will Ranbir and Shahid Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao”.
For the time being 'Ranveer Singh' is waiting for his movie 'Padmavati' to release which is deferred due to the controversy and has also started shooting the 'Gully Boy' being directed by 'Zoya Akhtar' opposite 'Alia Bhatt'. On the other hand, 'Arjun Kapoor' is working on 'Sandeep and Pinky Faraar'. Will the duo match audience expectation this time? What's your take on it?“The animal will be the only common thread between the original, and this version. The subject will be completely different. It should reflect current times. It should be modern, keeping the trends and the youth’s preferences in mind. It will have Indian values and sentiments at its core, but, will be one that appeals to the youth.”
