Zoya Akhtar was constantly working on her next film immediately after Gully Boy and now that the outline of the film has been written she is planning to sign Ranveer Singh to work in it.
Ranveer Singh worked with Zoya Akhtar for the first time in her 2015 flick Dil Dhadakne Do . It was a multi -starrer and Ranveer Singh got noticed for his performance and character. Zoya Akhtar then offered him the solo lead role in Gully Boy. This film added a lot to Ranveer Singh's already envious track record. It did a business of around 139.38 crores.
He has heard the concept and is really keen on doing it as well. He has verbally given his nod and this will be his third film with Zoya Akhtar after Dil Dhadakne Do and Gully Boy."
They are also looking at a particular date they can roll the film. "Ranveer Singh is currently wrapping up Kabir Khan's 83 and also has YRF's Jayeshbhai Jordaar lined up. He has to kickstart Karan Johar's Takht from February next year as well. So they are currently figuring out dates from which they can go on floors with the gangster saga."
