Prominent actor Sunny Deol is all set with another comeback after films like 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' and 'Poster Boys'. The celeb will be joining the Singham franchise, as famous producer Jayantilal Gada has signed him for the Bollywood remake of the Tamil film 'Si3'. Gada has not only obtained the Hindi remake rights for 'Si3' but has already roped in Sunny Deol for the third franchise of Singham.
The earlier Bollywood remakes for the Singam series, namely 'Singham' in 2011 and 'Singham Returns' in 2014 featured actor Ajay Devgn in the title role with Rohit Shetty donning the helmer's cap for it. One of the leading dailies had also reported, that before signing the film Deol had called Devgn to assure that he would not be using the Singham title. The newspaper had also quoted one of its source stating: “Before signing the film, Sunny called Ajay and told him he is doing it. He also told Ajay he won’t use the name Singham anywhere. Ajay was cool with it.” Furthermore, the 'dhai-kilo ka haath' protagonist won't be directed by Rohit Shetty for Singham 3. Instead of it, the upcoming Hindi film will mark the directorial debut of cinematographer K Ravi Chandran. The producer of the yet to come flick had also informed a leading web portal, that Si3's remake would have nothing to do with the earlier Singham films.
The heavily loaded action film 'Si3'', is about a reputed policeman trying to solve the murder mystery of another cop. In the process to nab the culprits in the way, Sunny will be taking on hardcore thugs and criminals, in the movie. Earlier franchises of the film had featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kajal Aggarwal as the female leads for the two instalments respectively. But for the thrid installment actress playing the female protagonist is yet to be finalized.
