In an interview, she said-
"Like many families, there are some problems in our family too. There is love, hate, emotional moments in all our lives, but our parents protected my brother and me from all the negativity, as much as they could.
"But at the age of 21, when you see people are saying really nasty things about you, it affects you so badly... I was vulnerable and broken from within emotionally," said the actress, whose sensational dance moves have added glamour to songs like "Baby doll", "Laila main Laila" and "Pink Lips". She added further.
Thus, she was not criticised after landing in India but before that. This is pity on a society that is unable to accept an individual by his or her profession. Why is society being so judgemental? Everyone has his or her choice. Then, why society necessitates interference in other's life?

Sunny Leone has experienced this at the age of 21, the moment she started receiving those hate emails that can't be read at all. India is a male-dominating nation; no doubt, girls are stepping ahead as well. But, when will society understand this? - A big question that is unsolved for many years.
So, through her biopic "Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone", the actress will unveil her life story. And why not? Life is all about motivation and positivity. Who knows what changes does this documentary can bring in one's life?
Society can never stop criticising others. It is you who has to confront and hit your goals.
