2018 is not easy for the film director Harinder Singh Sikka. With the ongoing controversies and protests, SGPC has decided to review the movie "Nanak Shah Fakir" again, portraying Guru Nanak Dev.
A fresh sub-committee is there for the review. The committee includes executive members Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Gurtej Singh Dadde, SGPC members Kiranjot Kaur, additional secretary Sukhdev Singh, deputy secretary Simranjit Singh, Dharam Parchar Committee member Ajaib Singh Abhiyasi, and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Committee general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa
Also, the film director has to go with procedures.
Nanak Shah Fakir: Controversial Since 2015
Why hasn't movie released yet? 2018 has not opened new pages for a movie. Reasons remained same as of 2015. After SGPC gave its support to the movie, the Punjab roads filled up with protest for banning a movie. Scheduled to release on April 13, a movie is still in controversies.

The reason behind the demand of banning movie is that it has portrayed the Sikh Gurus in 'living form'. No human is capable enough to depict Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Screening of movies can hurt the sentiments of Sikh community worldwide.
Moreover, SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal told the film director not to release the movie until the decision of sub-committees is not concluded.
So, will the movie ever release? What can be more changes demanded to release? There is more to hear. Stay updated to Gabruu.com!
