Richa Chadha is a name that is synonymous with determination. This can be said of the damsel because of her zeal to rise back up after her debut film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! had no commercial success. In 2012, her role in the film 'Gangs of Wasseypur' was critically acclaimed bagging her with the Filmfare award. With the same determination, Richa Chadha has been seen in films such as Drama Masaan, Sarbjit's Biopic and Fukrey Returns which was a huge commercial success in 2017. And now, coming to the limelight is the news about her upcoming flick where she will be seen taking on the role of the famous actress from Karela 'Shakeela'. Richa Chadha-Shakeela Richa Chadha playing this role is a big and daring step knowing that Shakeela right from a young age featured in adult movies. Earlier Bollywood actress, Vidya Balan was seen in such a role in the film 'Dirty Pictures'. A film on the life Silk Smitha, a South Indian actress, known for her erotic roles in films. As reported by a leading daily, Richa Chadha's spokesperson was quoted saying, "The film is the story of Shakeela, one of the most famous actors from Malayalam cinema from the 90s who rose to a spectacular amount of fame. Her fans were spread across Asia and she earned fanfare as a woman which back then was unheard of. The film's script was exciting and is a great story to tell and the story will make for a great watch for the audience. The preparations will begin soon and the film should be going on floors in end April or May."  Shakeela is an actress who is has received both national and international recognition. Her films besides being dubbed in the various languages across India are also in languages familiar to people in China and Nepal amongst others. Shakeela's biopic will recount her life starting from when she entered the film business at the age of 16 and her journey thus far.
