Rishi Kapoor is not the angry man all the time. We have noticed this when he passed a very positive and appreciative comment about son, Ranbir Kapoor's beau, Alia Bhatt. He said that he likes the role Alia does. They are challenging for her career and she is lucky to have those roles.
"I admire someone like Alia Bhatt, who takes up challenging roles like in Highway (2014) and Raazi. It's very difficult at this tender age to carry a film on their shoulders and only an actor can do that. Also, one has to be lucky enough to get such parts. Alia has been lucky and of course, she has the talent too."
Even at the age of 65, Kapoor endures doing films and he is in no mood for taking a break or retires from the film industry anytime soon. Recently his film 102 Not Out was released in the month of May this year, which was appreciated by the audience. Mulk and Rajma Chawal are his two upcoming films, and other than these, he is also shooting for a movied which is Indian translation of Spanish translation The Body. The actor said that he would not be taking up any cameo roles after doing one for Nandita Das's Manto. He said that his fans feel cheated when they don't get to see more of him in the films. “I enjoy working in films and belonging to any part of cinema is a great high for me. I see that same passion in my son [Ranbir Kapoor], too. Also, the fact that actors of my age are getting work is a great thing. Today, I have the facility of an option to choose from whatever I’m offered. I feel blessed to have this feeling.”
Rishi Kapor also said that during his initial years of career he did not get any challenging roles. He felt that during those times when the directors chose him whenever they wanted an actor who could do romance and dance well and danced well. But he seems extremely happy and elevated with the kind of roles he is getting now. He feels that the writers are writing amazing roles for him. [caption id="attachment_40317" align="alignnone" width="730"]102 not out Source[/caption] He feels that the audience has evolved immensely over a period of time. This is the main reason why the audience has started accepting films like 102 Not Out. He said,
“The audiences have evolved and are willing to see a new kind of cinema. They’re enjoying films like 102 Not Out, which has no hero, heroine, item song, villain or romance — just two old people interacting within themselves. It’s quite a feat when films like these work. You couldn’t have made these types of films 10-15 years back, as they would have never worked.”
