ROHIT SHETTY ADDS ANOTHER FILM TITLED AAYA POLICE IN HIS COP UNIVERSE

Director and producer, Rohit Shetty at present is working on Sooryavanshi which stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. But he at the same time is also planning to make another police film and has already registered ‘Aaya Police’ as the title of the film.

The sources at the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA), a daily magazine reported that Rohit got the title registered last week under the name of his production house, Rohit Shetty Picturez LLP. It also quoted a source who said There was this song in Simmba called Aala Re Aala which has the line ‘ae aaya police’. Deepika Padukone was also seen saying that and cheering for Ranveer Singh in the film, and it had gone viral. Rohit thought it is a pretty good name for a movie and has registered the title.

Rohit has a long connection with the police and lately has also been talking of making a ‘cop universe’ with his films. Ajay Devgn-Abhishek Bachchan’s Zameen, a film which is about police and an army officer, marked Rohit’s Bollywood debut. Later he went on to hit franchise with Singham series where he chose Ajay Devgn to play the lead role in the film.

He has also said that he really wants to make a film on a female cop. During an interview recently he said We are trying to create a world of our own and we have been open about it. It will only grow (with time). There will be female cops as well in my universe.

Rohit Shetty’s last film was Simmba which starred Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. The filmmaker has eight films in his kitty which entered the Rs 100 crore club. Usually the Rohit Shetty films are slammed and criticized by the critics, but the audience however loves and them and supports them making them big at the box office.
