Whoever thought TV was slowly losing its value needs to re-think. Coz the importance of the idiot box just got increased by heaps with the Bhai of Bollywood, Salman Khan, deciding to extend his small screen stint beyond just hosting shows. According to a leading international portal, Salman Khan's production, SK TV, is set to collaborate with Banijay Asia to produce content for television as well as digital platforms. Banijay is a French global production and distribution group with famous shows like Versailles, Temptation Island, Keeping up with the Kardashians, Wife Swap and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, etc. to their credit. The group is entering into the Indian market and what better hands to shake with than the ruling king of box-office, Salman Khan. Although details of the projects are still under wraps, the companies revealed that this partnership has their focus on producing “scripted and non-scripted content” across various genres suited for the Indian and South East Asian audiences. Interestingly, Salman Khan has also decided to venture into film distribution with his next release Race 3. The film will mark Khan's first project as a distributor under the banner that has been named after his father Salim Khan. In fact, as per some sources, Bhai will himself look after all the distribution plans and deets.
