'Sanjay Kapoor' Gets Nostalgic After His Dance Sequence In 'Mission Mangal'

It won't be wrong if we call it the age of remixes and recreated songs in the Hindi film industry. While this trend is not going anywhere anytime soon as the recreated versions are often chartbusters but what makes a recreated track worthwhile is the presence of the original star in it.

Something similar has happened in Akshay Kumar’s recently released film Mission Mangal. Though there wasn't any recreated track in the film but there is one sequence featuring Sanjay Kapoor that got the audiences cheer in the theatre.

In one of the scenes, Sanjay Kapoor goes to a pub with Vidya Balan and upon being called boring, he breaks into a dance on one of his biggest chartbusters, Ankhiyan Milaaoon. The song was originally featured in his 1995 blockbuster Raja which also starred Madhuri Dixit.

Recently, the actor took to his Instagram where he shared a glimpse from a movie theatre. He captioned the post as;

Never thought after nearly 25 years will be dancing on this song again , thank you everyone for the love and appreciation for my role in mission mangal , All this was possible because of the great team we had , want to thank balki sir , Jagan sir , Ravi sir , all the artist and yes Akshay , A special mention for vidya it was so amazing to work with her we all know she’s a superb actor but she’s so much fun on set 🤗 #missionmangal #blockbuster ! It’s very special to know , that I am the only actor to dance to his own song after 25 years !

Similarly, there have been many actors in the recent years who have appeared in the recreated version of there hit tracks from back in the day, much to the audience's excitement.

Let's take a look at some of the examples below:

Arshad Warsi - Aankh Marey

One of the biggest hits of last year, Aankh Maarey featured Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan from Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ but to amp up the excitement, the director had some tricks up his sleeve when he made the Golmaal boys, excep Ajay Devgn, make an appearance in the song. Moreover, it was Arshad Warsi's entry that left the audience in a state of frenzy. For those unaware, the original Aankh Maare from Tere Mere Sapne was filmed on Arshad Warsi and Simran.

Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon - Sheher Ki Ladki

Though this is one of those recreated songs which failed to make its mark, but watching Suniel Shetty and Raveena Tandon groove albeit briefly took us on a trip to nostalgia. The original track from 1996 hit Rakshak is still unmatched.
