After an overwhelming trailer of Kedarnath, the filmmakers have now released a song which is a dance number, ‘Sweetheart’. The song is a foot tapping number which refreshes the viewer when he sees a new pair onscreen, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan. The two are seen grooving to the beats of the dhol with full energy and enthusiasm. The song is picturized on a mehendi and a sangeet ceremony. It is a wedding song in which we see Sushant’s real sister getting married. Sara is dressed in yellow shrara paired with a red dupatta, and we are automatically reminded of her ever so beautiful mother, Amrita Singh.
Check out the song below.
The song has been sung by Dev Negi and Amitabh Bhattacharya has written the lyrics of the song. Amit Trivedi has given music to the song. The first song which was released by the filmmakers was ‘Namo Namo’ was a devotional sing. The song introduced Sushant as a Muslim pithoo who carries the devotees on his back throughout the 14 kilometer stretch from Gauri Kund to Kedarnath shrine.
Sara will be playing the role of a Hindu tourist who visits the religious place where she meets Sushant and falls in love with him. Their love story is entwined with disastrous Uttarakhand floods of 2013 which had swiped off numerous lives. The trailer which was released some days ago has received a lot of positive response from the audience.
The film was to release in June this year but because of many production issues its release got delayed. Some problem had arisen between the producers and the directors of the film. This was the reason why the shoot of the film was even stopped for some months.
It was during this halt that Rohit Shetty approached Sara Ali Khan for Simmba and she readily agreed to it. She will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in the film which will release somewhere near Christmas.
