It was for the first time that Charanpreet took part in the ceremony. Instead of wearing the bearskin hat, he chose to keep his 'Sardari' with a Turban. The 22-year-old from Leicester told a portal, "I hope that people watching, that they will just acknowledge it and that they will look at it as a new change in history.”
He also said that he hopes that people like him not only from Sikh religion but also from other religions and from different backgrounds should join the army. Charanpreet born in India bought up in England had joined British Army in January 2016. He had moved to the UK with his family as a child.
