In today’s rapidly evolving and changing times it won’t be wrong to say that Punjabi industry too is changing at the same pace. Experimenting with the content of the film, one of the most celebrated directors of the Punjabi industry, Harry Bhatti is getting a Punjabi film like never before. ‘Do Dooni Panj’ is a film with which the audience and the viewers will automatically connect. The content and the script of the content is such that it is one of the most relatable stories which will be told in the Punjabi entertainment industry. The film is being produced by Badshah's production house APRA Films.
The main character of the film is Jagsir Singh who is unemployed despite having degrees to boast about. Jagsir Singh is humiliated by his family members, friends and even the love of his life because he is unable to fetch a good earning job for himself. When he is boycotted by everyone whom he loves, he decides to fight a case against the education system and his school authorities and questions their quality of education.
Many of us who go through such trivial times prefer staying silent because at the back of the mind we think that our voice will not be heard in the house of justice. However, instead of sitting quietly at his home and cribbing the system, he decides to fight against the system and challenge the higher authorities.
Such difficult times shatter a person’s dreams and aspirations which he builds up since childhood. Not only the child, but even the parents suffer when their hard-earned money is wasted on a system that does not ensure a secured future.
But how many of us really take the matters in hand? Do we dare question the system or the higher authorities? NO!
But Jagga will dare! Because he knows that it’s not right to stay silent. He will choose to stand up for his rights and dreams. Now the suspense is that we don’t know whether Jagga will find justice or not.
For the uninitiated, all the drama will unfold in Do Dooni Panj. Amrit Maan will become the voice of youth playing the role of Jagsir Singh aka Jagga. Still fairly new to the field of acting, Amrit Maan has experimented big time by choosing the scripts that deliver a bold message besides being a wholesome entertainer.
Do Dooni Panj will question education system like never before. It will address the expensive yet fruitless efforts a person puts in studying and rote-ing down lessons that, ultimately, cannot even ensure us a job of value.
Now its up to you to support Jagga. This you can do by going to watch the film which will be released in the theatres on 11th January.
