John Abraham's Satyamev Jayate is set to hit the theatres all across India on 15th August. But before its release, it has landed in trouble after a complaint was filed against it. The complaint has been filed by a BJP leader who saw the trailer of the film and said that the film violates the religious sentiments of the Muslim community in the nation. The movie stars John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee as the lead heroes. BJP leader Minority Morcha's city general secretary, Syed Ali Jaffry has filed the complaint with the police. A lawyer while talking to the leading dailies said,
“The procession of Muharram has been depicted in a wrong way in the trailer. Our concerns are that the movie’s plot is based on corruption and the lead role is being played by John Abraham, who is avenging the wrong doings on him. The makers could have very well completed the film without having a scene with the Muharram procession. The movie’s plot has nothing to do with Muharram. All these things are outraging religious feelings of a particular sect.”Syed Ali has filed the complaint with Hyderabad police department and says that the trailer has not only hurt his sentiments, the of the entire Shia community. He wants this specific scene to be deleted from the film . The police has not seen the trailer yet and will give its word only after watching the trailer.
