The controversies are an integral part of movie promotions. The more controversies are attached to a movie, the chances become more for the movie to be hit. 'Zero' featuring Shah Rukh Khan took the internet by storm by dropping an amazing trailer of the movie. But now this movie is landed in the controversy before it's release.
Majinder S Sirsa, a member of the Legislative Assembly, Delhi and the National spokesperson for Shiromani Akali Dal filed a petition against the poster of the movie in which SRK is standing in the middle of the road in a vest and shorts, wearing a garland of 500 rupee notes and holding a kirpan in his hand.
A petition has been filed by the group to remove the poster with immediate effect and deleting the particular scene from the film as well. A hearing will be held on this matter in the court on November 19.
Sirsa quoted, “Shame on #ShahrukhKhan on devaluing Sikh Kakaar and hurting Sikh sentiments by showing Kirpaan as a show-off ordinary dagger Kirpaan can only be worn by a #Khalsa - a pure Human being. I demand Shahrukh Khan & Zero film producer Gauri Khan to immediately withdraw this poster #Zero We would be forced to take legal action against Zero film team if this poster and promotion is not withdrawn Zero The Film”
