There's no denying in saying that why Shah Rukh Khan is known as the king of hearts. The actor has shown his generous side to help the needful at various occasions. Recently, the actor has donated an amount of around 21 Lakhs to the flood-hit state of Kerela. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Meer Foundation, which has been actively helping and supporting the needy, has taken this yet another noble step. The non-profit welfare organization has made this donation to the relief organizations working towards the welfare of Kerala flood victims. Academy Award-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty took to Twitter and expressed gratitude towards the actor.

To which Shah Rukh Khan replied,
"@resulp Sir, it's the duty and dharma of each one of us to stand by our brothers and sisters in times of need. May Allah bless each and everyone in Kerala."The central government has launched a massive rescue and relief operations in the southern state. Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have been asked to mobilize additional manpower, boats, and helicopters to scale up the operations. Food packets and drinking water are also being rushed for those in need. The chief ministers of various states have also come forward with financial aid to help the state cope with the large-scale devastation. Till now, the death toll in the flood-hit state has reached 357.
