Talk about some exciting news! If the latest report in a leading daily is anything to go by then Shah Rukh Khan
's son Aryan Khan has been officially brought on board for Karan Johar
But wait, before you anticipate if he's making his acting debut with this film which boasts an ensemble cast with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh
, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt
here's a twist. Turns out, he will be joining the film as an assistant director to Karan Johar.
If you remember, Shah Rukh Khan has time and again gone on record to mention how Aryan is more interested in filmmaking than acting. In fact, he was even quoted saying once on how he wants Aryan to assist Karan one day.
"Aryan is studying to be a filmmaker and a writer, while Suhana wants to be an actor. But even if he wants to be a filmmaker, he needs to study for another five to six years and not just the literal form of studying, but probably be an assistant to Karan after he finishes his film-making course, ". Said SRK in one of his earlier interactions with the media.
So does this mean Takht is going to be Aryan's first project? Well, we have to wait a little more for an official announcement.
For those who are unaware of Takht, Karan is returning to direction with this most ambitious film that's based in the Mughal era with a fight to the finish for the Mughal throne. The film is currently in the pre-production stage and is expected to go on floors in a couple of months. The film was announced last year and is expected to hit the screens somewhere in 2020.
