Shikhar Dhawan Out, Mayank Agarwal In for the 3-match ODIs against West Indies

Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian cricketer one who also plays for the Delhi Capitals team in IPL. He got injured twice and due to that was ruled out of the series replaced by other players.

As Team India will be playing against West Indies in the three-match ODI series starting December 15, 2019, Mayank Agarwal has been called upon as the replacement for Shikhar Dhawan.

Shikhar Dhawan recently got a knee injury during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and because of that, he was ruled out for the three-match T20 International series against West Indies, in which India won the series by 2-1. In this series, he was replaced by Kerala wicket-keeper and batsman Sanju Samson.

This is not the first time as Dhawan was ruled out in the series. In the 2019 World Cup against Australia, he got his thumb fractured though he scored a heroic century.

Team India has good expectations from Mayank Agarwal as he played well in the Test cricket against Australia with scores of 76, 42 and 77 runs; the hopes are high for his ODI performance. He even scored a double century from the opening partnership with Rohit Sharma.

Mayank was along the other players Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill but the selection committee picked him because of his record of more than 50 average and 100+ strike rate with 13 centuries which shows good points to try the player for this format.

We are waiting for the final decision whether Mayank Agarwal or KL Rahul opens with Rohit Sharma in the upcoming 3 ODI match against West Indies.

We hope Shikhar Dhawan recovers from his injury soon and see his comeback in Team India and give rocking performance as he does always.
