By Siddharth Singh . 11th October 2018 01:00pm

From the last couple of days, a strong #MeToo movement has taken India by storm. From the entertainment industry to the political field many of the top figures faced serious harassment cases filed against them. As the issue is raising concerns on the safety of the women, many of the filmmakers have either postponed or dropped their ongoing projects.

The latest B-town biggie to react on the same is Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Aamir recently visited to attend a meeting organized by The Producers Guild of India. This meeting was headed by the Veteran Ashok Pandit who strongly spoke about making the film industry a safer place for women.

As we earlier told you that Aamir Khan will be producing a biopic on the life of T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar. Now as per reports, Aamir has stepped down from this project. On Wednesday the actor announced his departure from an upcoming project while maintaining its anonymity, saying he has been informed of “sexual misconduct” on the part of a collaborator. The being talked about is the Gulshan Kumar biopic Mogul, the director of which, Subash Kapoor, was accused of molesting a woman.
Bhushan Kumar of T-Series told, “He (Aamir) doesn’t want to work with Subhash Kapoor because of his unfinished case. “ When asked whether T-Series will work with Kapoor, Bhushan told, “No.. We won’t. We are not making (the film) with him.”

Subash Kapoor, in an interview to a leading daily, said he respects Aamir’s decision. “I understand and respect Aamir Khan’s and Kiran Rao’s decision. Since matter is subjudice, I intend to prove my innocence in the court of law.”
