AAP DECLARES SOLO ENDEAVOR IN HARYANA ASSEMBLY POLLS, AIMING TO FORM STATE GOVERNMENT
  • PublishedJanuary 29, 2024

In a significant announcement, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo, Arvind Kejriwal, declared today that the party will independently contest all 90 assembly seats in the upcoming Haryana assembly polls. Expressing unwavering confidence in the party’s capabilities, Kejriwal asserted that AAP is committed to securing victory in the state and forming a government.

Addressing a rally in Haryana, Kejriwal emphasized that the party’s focus for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls will be on an alliance with INDIA bloc parties. However, for the assembly elections in Haryana, AAP is set to go solo, showcasing its strength and determination to serve the interests of the people.

Highlighting the success of AAP-led governments on both sides of Haryana in Delhi and Punjab, Kejriwal questioned why the central region of Haryana couldn’t follow suit. He urged the electorate to wield their power during the October elections, expressing confidence that an AAP government would be elected in Haryana.

The decision to contest all seats in Haryana comes as AAP reportedly shifts its focus to the state in the lead-up to the polls. In the 2019 elections, the BJP secured victory with 40 seats, followed by the Congress with 31 seats. The Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), with 10 seats, supported the BJP in forming the government.

With Kejriwal’s declaration, AAP seeks to strengthen its presence in Haryana, aligning with the party’s commitment to accountable and people-centric governance.
