Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt to Name New Home After Daughter Raha
Recent reports unveil that Bollywood power couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s forthcoming abode in Mumbai’s Bandra will bear the name of their one-year-old daughter, Raha Kapoor. The couple, along with Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor, was spotted inspecting their under-construction bungalow, igniting speculation about their housing plans.
The new bungalow, touted as the most expensive celebrity residence in Mumbai with an estimated cost surpassing ₹250 crore, is set to outshine iconic properties like Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa. Ranbir and Alia are purportedly pooling their resources into crafting their dream home, which will also mark Raha as the “youngest and richest star kid” in Bollywood.
In a touching gesture, Ranbir Kapoor plans to dedicate the property to his beloved daughter, Raha Kapoor, reflecting his profound affection for her. Additionally, the couple owns four flats in Bandra collectively valued at over ₹60 crore.
Notably, gifts of this nature from family members are exempt from taxes upon receipt in India, although any subsequent income or gains from these assets are subject to taxation, according to financial reports.
Moreover, Neetu Kapoor, Raha’s grandmother, will serve as the co-owner of the bungalow, inheriting her late husband Rishi Kapoor’s share in the family’s estate. Neetu, known for her financial stability, recently invested in a lavish property worth ₹15 crore in Bandra. Speculations abound that post-completion, the entire Kapoor clan, including Neetu, will reside together under one roof, transitioning from their current residence at Vastu.
