Actor Arundhathi Nair Critically Injured in Accident, Family Seeks Financial Aid

Bengaluru, India – Actor Arundhathi Nair, known for her roles in Tamil cinema, is currently fighting for her life after being critically injured in a tragic accident. Six days ago, Arundhathi and her brother were hit by an auto while riding a bike near their home in Thiruvananthapuram. While her brother sustained minor injuries and was discharged, Arundhathi suffered severe injuries and is in urgent need of financial assistance to cover her medical expenses.

Her close friend and fellow actor, Remyaa Joseph, revealed the dire situation, expressing disappointment that no support has been offered from the Tamil film industry despite Arundhathi’s significant contributions to it. In contrast, the Malayalam film industry swiftly rallied behind her, showcasing the stark contrast in response.

Arundhathi’s sister, Arathy, highlighted the challenges faced by the family, including online trolling and skepticism regarding fundraising efforts. Despite the negativity, Gopika Anil, another Malayalam actor and friend, initiated a fundraiser to aid Arundhathi’s medical expenses, emphasizing her critical role as the family’s sole breadwinner.

The financial burden is immense, with Arundhathi requiring expensive surgeries for arm and collar bone fractures, along with impending brain surgery. The family, already grappling with emotional turmoil, has been inundated with insensitive calls and inquiries, prompting them to shift the fundraiser to a closed group to avoid further distress.
