In a vibrant display of diplomatic camaraderie, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron engaged in a historic roadshow through the Pink City, Jaipur, as part of the Republic Day celebrations. The two leaders, accompanied by a cheering crowd, walked from Jantar Mantar to Sanganeri Gate, making significant stops at Hawa Mahal and the local market, where they engaged in ‘Chai pe Charcha’ sipping on traditional ‘kulhar’ tea.

Prime Minister Modi presented President Macron with a replica of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, symbolizing cultural ties and shared values. The visit also included a tour of the majestic Amer Fort, where President Macron interacted with local artisans.

This marks President Macron as the sixth French leader to grace India’s Republic Day as the chief guest, underscoring the strong and enduring Indo-French partnership. The visit, spanning two days, culminated in a private dinner at the opulent Rambagh Palace. The leaders’ joint commitment to fostering bilateral relations was evident, enhancing cultural, economic, and strategic cooperation.

As President Macron departs for New Delhi to partake in the Republic Day Parade, the Pink City roadshow stands as a testament to the warm ties between the two nations, promising a strengthened collaboration in the years to come.
