Swiggy Responds to Ronit Roy’s Traffic Violation Concern
  • PublishedFebruary 26, 2024

Actor Ronit Roy recently expressed concern over a Swiggy delivery rider’s traffic violation, accusing the rider of riding on the wrong side of the road. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ronit shared his experience, stating that he “almost killed” the Swiggy rider and questioned the company’s commitment to the safety of their delivery partners.

In response, Swiggy addressed the issue, emphasizing their expectations for delivery partners to adhere to all traffic rules. Swiggy’s official Twitter account replied to Ronit, stating, “Hey Ronit, we expect our delivery partner to follow all traffic rules and have noted this to be looked into, do share any details if available for the necessary action to be taken. ^Luv.”

While Swiggy acknowledged the concern raised by Ronit Roy, some users defended the company, asserting that the responsibility for traffic violations lies with individual riders and their adherence to basic civic sense.

This incident sheds light on the challenges faced by online food delivery platforms in ensuring the safe and responsible behavior of their delivery partners on the road.

In a separate context, last year, Ronit Roy and his wife, Neelam Bose Roy, celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in a ceremony held at a temple in Goa. The actor shared moments from the celebration on Instagram, expressing his love and commitment to his wife. Ronit Roy was last seen in the heist thriller film “Farrey,” released in November 2023, which is an official remake of the 2017 Thai film “Bad Genius.”
