SONU SOOD HONORED WITH PRESTIGIOUS 'PUNJAB RATTAN AWARD'

Honored by the Governor of Punjab V.P. Singh Badnore, with the Punjabi Rattan Award (Jewel of Punjab) is the Indian actor, Sonu Sood. The actor who received the award at the Fazilka in Punjab is greatly recognized for his contributions to the welfare of people in Punjab especially in his hometown, Moga. The immense work done by Sonu Sood to cater for the less privileged is definitely worth commendable. This is indeed a proud moment for the people of Punjab to have such a jewel. Actor Sonu Sood during the ceremony paid homage to the soldiers who fought the 1971 Indo-Pak war. In a statement as reported by a leading news agency quoted;

"I feel really honored to get Punjab Ratan award from the Governor of Punjab and that too at a venue which was full of the families of the martyrs in the 1971 war and several Majors, Colonels, and soldiers who fought that war were also present". he further said, "It was a great honor. I can relate to it more because I just finished one schedule of J P Dutta's 'Paltan' where I'm playing a Major and was in the uniform for two months". Sonu Sood in humility received the Punjab Ratan awards giving all the credits of his achievements to his parents. The actor believes that all his successes are due to their blessings. From south Indian films to Punjabi films and Hindi films, Sonu Sood has got fame in various film industries across the country. The actor and former model is surely a sea of talent. While we celebrate the great man of Punjab soil, we also await his upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' to be released soon.
