Winters are over, and summers are here. But are you ready for the heat and the skin problems that come with it? Well, some skin experts have shared some tips to protect your skin from the harsh summers this time.
MOISTURISER IS A MUST
You should use a light moisturizer when the weather is warm. Chose a non-greasy and a lightweight moisturizer, preferably one with SPF for daytime use, this will help in blocking the important moisture quantity to retain in the skin.
TONE THE SKIN
Skin toners are another must-have item during summer months. A good toner keeps the skin oil free and clean. Toner also helps in minimizing the appearances of pores. While applying toner, pay special care to the T-zone because it is the part of the face which secretes maximum oil during the summers.
STAY HYDRATED ALWAYS
Drink plenty of water and never forget to carry your water bottle with you wherever you go. Keep drinking water from that bottle. This is necessary to keep the skin hydrated, flush out the toxins from the body and also feel refreshed during the hot days.
Regularly exfoliate your skin, and make it a part of the skincare routine. The ones who have sensitive skin should be careful while exfoliating in comparison to the ones who have normal or dry skin.
MINIMAL USE OF MAKE-UP
Bare use of make-up should be preferred during the summers because of too much make-up clogs the pores and this result in breakouts. SPF products should be used.
LOTIONS FOR SUMMERS
One needs to use lotion which is easily absorbed by the skin in comparison to the greasy body butter which is generally used during the winters. Winter lotions make the skin look oily and therefore it should be changed with time.
EXTRA LIP CARE
Sun can be very dry at times. So it is better to keep the lips soft and smooth with the help of a lip balm with SPF 15 or higher. Use a bottle of mist which is rich in antioxidants and nutrients for soothing and hydrating the skin on the face and body. Do this especially when you have to step outside in the sun.
