Prominent Punjabi actress Surveen Chawla who is riding high on success in Hindi film industry had surprised everyone after she revealed her married status. The actress had been married but kept it hidden for almost two years. According to the actress, she did it purposefully. Surveen wanted to break the long-prevailing myth that women lose their charm after marriage and not remain the first choice of the filmmakers in the entertainment industry. The "Hate Story 2" actress believes that marital status of a woman can never affect her beauty and professionalism. The actress is all set to be seen in an upcoming web series "Haq Se". Surveen at the trailer launch of the show, on Wednesday, was asked what made her keep the marriage as a secret affair. The actress along with the star cast and producer Ekta Kapoor replied;
Well, I wanted to break the myth and I wanted to take time to be prepared about saying it. Being a part of this (entertainment) industry, we are conditioned in a certain way. Now you guys tell me, in two years when you people have seen me, have you find any difference?
I strongly believe that being married has nothing to do with my profession.
The web series is being directed by Ken Ghosh, other than Surveen the show also stars actor Rajeev Khandelwal, Rukhsar, Simon Singh, Pavail Gulati, Aanchal Sharma among others.It does not make me less beautiful, less charming or sexy. Being married does not make me a less artiste or a professional. I am an entertainer; I will entertain you, irrespective of my marital status. That should matter.
