Karan Johar is one of the most successful filmmakers in the B-town. His films often become a rage among the youth and thus every project of his is closely followed by several fans of his films. Karan is all set to direct the period drama Takht this year. The film stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in the leads.
Currently, the director and producer is in Davos, Switzerland attending the World Economic Forum in the Swiss town. During a media interaction, the director and producer spoke about what he wants to make post Takht. He spoke about wanting to make a film on the LGBT community soon.
"Being a leading filmmaker, I can make movies on the subject. I would love to make a homosexual love story and would want to cast two leading actors in the film. I don't have in mind specific names of the actors I want to cast in the film, but I surely want to make such a film."
If we look back at his work then back in the year 2008 he came out with his film Dostana. The film which starred John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in the leads touched a small part of it but now seems like Karan is eagerly wanting to work on this topic.
Earlier, the internet was abuzz with the stories that Karan Johar is planning a sequel to his hit film Dostana so shall we say that this new desire of him is somewhere associated with a sequel to this movie? Well, we have to wait for the official announcement.
Karan is having a packed schedule this year as he has a series of films lined up. From Student Of The Year 2 and Takht to Kalank and Good News, the director-producer has a lot to offer ahead.
