Commonwealth Games 2018 becomes a glory for India. Neeraj Chopra has successfully claimed the title of first Indian Javelin thrower with gold. He covered 86.47m and set a record. India has maintained its third position on third on Day 10 at international level.

Neeraj's aim for attaining gold was since his last throw of 85.94 m at Patiala during the Federation Cup National Championships held in March. Indian players are on a roll in CWG and are giving tough competition. They have proved the importance of sports in one's life and are an inspiration to the nation.
With the feat, he is also fourth Indian even to achieve an athletics gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. Son of a farmer and a proud father received a standing ovation from the crowd after his superior performance and added a 21st gold medal to India's medal tally till now.
India has won 52 medals until the tenth day of Gold Coast including 23 gold medals, 13 silvers, and 16 Bronze. Also, other gold winners are Sanjeev Rajput in the shooting, Mary Kom in boxing, Sumit Malki in wrestling, Neeraj Chopra in Athletics, Gourav Solanki in boxing, and Vinesh Phogat in wrestling.
