We all have heard that a person with a broken heart leads to the best performances, but this phrase has been quite common with the singers. Now Director-Producer Karan Johar feels that it's a must for a performer, an actor or a singer, to suffer from a heart break as it helps you perform better on the big screen. Karan, who is all set for his forthcoming radio show Calling Karan Season 2, was speaking about love and relationships at the launch of Ishq 104.8 FM on Monday. Director Imtiaz Ali and actors Rannvijay Singha and Neha Dhupia were also present along with the celebrity talk show host at the launch of the FM station on Monday. During a panel discussion, Karan talked about how real life heart break helps an actor to become a better performer. Karan said;
“I think actors who have not had a heartbreak will not perform the way they are required. If you are a good actor then you must have had a heartbreak. It’s not possible otherwise for you to depict certain kind and amount of emotion on the celluloid. Sometimes your eyes too, depict your heart’s tale and many of them, whose eyes speak volumes, they have been through that journey in their life,”Karan is known for his cinematic excellence in his movies. Films like 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' have made it to the most loved Bollywood flicks of all times. His next productions includes SOTY 2, 'Simmba' and 'Kalank'. A multi-faceted personality, Karan has tried his hands on everything glitz and glam. From judging the dance shows to anchoring the awards, directing to acting, he has donned many hats with aplomb. And he has garnered love as a Radio Jockey too. The first season of Calling Karan discussed open marriages, LGBT, love issues and more. Season 2 is also expected to cover these topics and more in a bolder way.
