TRAILER ALERT: VICKY KAUSHAL IS BACK TO WIN YOUR HEARTS WITH 'URI'

Vicky Kaushal, who rose to fame from 2015 film 'Masaan' has nailed the screens with his stellar performances. In 'Sanju' he played the character of Sanjay Dutt's close friend 'Kamli'. His Gujarati accent in the film received immense love from the audiences. Recently, the actor was seen in the love triangle 'Manmarziyaan' in which he was seen in a totally different avatar.

After releasing the teaser of this film back in the month of September, makers have now released the official new trailer of the film.  The action-drama is based on the 2016 surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army in retaliation to an alleged terror attack in the Uri subdivision of Kashmir. The film stars Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam and Paresh Rawal in lead roles.

“On 18 September 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at Uri base camp, Kashmir,” the title reads. Vicky’s character is introduced with a scene in which he vows to never let his brothers-in-arms down, no matter where he is deployed.

Stories about unrest and the tension on the borderline is not a new thing for the residents of India and Pakistan. The attacks have affected the lives of the border residents who live in these two countries. Back in the year 2016, these conflicts took an unexpected turn when Uri attacks took place. The attacks were the deadliest in the history of Kashmir.

In Uri he will be seen as a Commander, this is not the first time when he will be playing an army officer. Earlier this year he was seen playing a similar character in the film Raazi.

Uri will hit the screens on 11th Jan 2018, are you all excited for this? Do let us know in the comments section below and for more stories like this, keep visiting gabruu.com
