Two ABVP members confess how the attack on JNU was planned and executed on 5th January

After Delhi police took names of the people who participated in the violence unleashed in Jawaharlal Nehru University on 5th January, a sting operation was conducted by India Today in which it has been revealed that it was the ABVP members who were the culprits.

One of them- Akshat Awasthi also claimed that it was he who organized the mob who caused a lot of damage in the university campus.

Akshat is a first-year BA French student at JNU confessed to lead the attack on Periyar hostel. He confessed that he was holding a rod in his hand and wore a helmet while attacking the university students and faculty members.

In the sting operation, Akshat admitted that he got together the people to attack the students. The BA French student was confessed that he and the mob was encouraged by the police officials to hit the students.

The second person seen in the video is Rohit Shah, a member of ABVP and BA French student at JNU. He proudly confesses that he gave his helmet to another attacker. He said, “If it wasn’t done the way it was, they would not have realized ABVP’s power.”

Geeta Kumari is the third person in the video who is also an activist of All India Students Association. She said that the Left groups who were protesting damaged the server room because they were against the process of registration. The Left student groups and other students protested against the fee hike in the university.
