Not even a week has passed when a person scheduled to travel Indore was made to travel to Nagpur on an IndiGo flight from Delhi. The passenger already had a confirmed boarding pass to travel Indore. And now, a new goof-up by the airlines is trending in the news, today. Well, fourteen passengers who were scheduled and also had confirmed boarding pass for IndiGo 'Goa-Hyderabad' flight were left behind at Goa airport. The incidents have taken place on last Friday and Monday, respectively. Here's what the airline's has to say on both the issue. For the traveler sent on the wrong flight the firm stated;
IndiGo regrets the security breach intercepted by its security staff on flight 6E 774 (DEL-NAG), wherein a passenger of flight 6E 656 (DEL-IDR) wrongly boarded the flight 6E 774 and further travelled to Nagpur, after boarding the wrong coach.
Last year, the apex aviation security agency Bureau of Civil Aviation (BCAS) had suspended IndiGo's security training center license for lapses in the examination system. The reason being, same sets of question papers were found to have been repeated for many months. Though the suspension order were revoked later after the Gurgaon-based airline gave a commitment to the BCAS that its cabin crew will undergo a refresher course and examination once again. On the other end, for the passengers left at the Goa airport allege that the flight had departed early from the scheduled time. But IndiGo spokesperson says that they had made several announcements calling the passengers to report at the gate and the passengers reported after the gate was closed. He also added three of IndiGo staff kept searching for the fourteen passengers at airport, while the other staff was making frantic announcements over the hand-held loudspeaker.
