Amidst singers promoting their singles without leaving any stone unturned, there is one movie that is looking forward to its release this February. The first Pollywood film of 2018, which boasts of both newbies and experienced star cast is ready to hit the theaters on 2nd February. This film focuses on a slightly newer issue for the Punjabi industry; Bhagat Singh Di Udeek will view Punjab and its society from the eyes of an insider. Comedy has been the most used up genre in Punjabi films followed by romance. However, Bhagat Singh Di Udeek will talk about so much more. From drug menace, corruption, injustice, to politics, everything is in it. The film stars the actor Arsh Chawla in the lead role alongside Khushi Malhotra playing the female lead. Interestingly, both lead characters will be making their debut in acting. Surbhi Singla, is one more new face that will be seen foraying into the glam world with the film. Not just the leading faces, even the director, Shivamm Sharma, is stepping into movie direction with Udeek. Guiding these newcomers are a team of experienced and talented stars like BN Sharma, Malkit Rauni, Sardar Sohi, Gurpreet Bhangu, etc. The story of the film is penned down by Babbar Gill who has also written the screenplay and dialogues. The movie is produced by Virendra Singh Kalra and Avijit Singh Kalra in collaboration with Executive producer Dilbag Chawla. The music of the film is composed by DJ Narender and Babbar Gill once again weaves the magic of his words with the song lyrics. Music is released under the Yellow Music banner. Film’s protagonist, Arsh Chawla, talked about his role and said,

“I play Fateh, the man who sets out to avenge his sister. He is the man who stands against the evils. He is not waiting for someone else to fight on his behalf. Shivamm is a visionary director, he knows his craft well. Working with him on this project has not only helped me professionally but also personally because I have learnt to take responsibilities of changing the things, at least around me, keeping aside my fears.”
The young and dynamic Director Shivamm Sharma also shared his vision about Udeek, saying,
“This film has taken a lot of toil. I have seen Bollywood movies who have talked about the drug menace in Punjab. This goes a step ahead and will tell the youth to take a stand and bring about a revolution to end our issues. Arsh is as new to the industry as me. It was a learning experience for both of us… More like a revelation for both of us about our potentials.”
The producers of the film, Virendra Singh Kalra and Avijit Singh Kalra, said,
“Udeek talks about that mindset of our society where we are waiting for a leader to make a change. But we must realize that we are the youth who have that power. Just like young Bhagat Singh who had set out to free India, youngsters today need to take up matters in their own hands.”
The stars are busy promoting the film far and wide and had recently appeared on Sunday Special "Hangout" at Gabruu.com. The movie ’ Bhagat Singh Di Udeek’ is an Ishwar House Entertainment and Emperor Media & Entertainment presentation and is all set to hit the theaters on 2nd February 2018.
