Veteran Hindi film actress, Shammi, popularly known as Shammi aunty in the B-town has passed away at the age of 89. The news came in during the early hours today since then there has been a flow on social media by celebs expressing their grief over her death. Amitabh Bachchan who was her co-star in 1992's 'Khuda Gawah' took it to his official Twitter handle praising her for the contribution she had made in the Indian film industry.

Her last venture was with Farah-Khan-Boman Irani's outing, 'Shirini Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi' in 2013. As per various reports, her last rites will be performed in Mumbai in the noon hours of Tuesday.
