Vicky Kaushal bagged the top rank on the list of trends after Vicky Kaushal revealed the first look from his upcoming film, based on the life of Field Marshal of India, Sam Manekshaw. Vicky shared his look on his social media handle, and need we say that he looks completely unrecognizable.
In the photo, Vicky is seen dressed in a uniform supporting a mustache. Sharing the picture on his Instagram handle, Vicky said
“I feel honored, emotional and proud of getting a chance to unfold the journey of this fearless patriot, the swashbuckling general, the first Field Marshal of India- Sam Manekshaw. Remembering him on his death anniversary today and embracing the new beginnings with Meghna Gulzar and Ronnie Screwvala.”
The filmmakers decided to share the first look today specifically because of the occasion of Sam Manelshaw’s death anniversary. Meghna Gulzar is the director of the film and she wrote
“A soldier's soldier. A gentleman's gentleman. In remembrance, on the death anniversary of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. It is my honor to tell the story of one of India's greatest war heroes, with Vicky Kaushal essaying the historic man.”

During an interview, Meghna said that the film will narrate the events and occasions of the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, but it is not a biopic. She said
“The film on Field Marshal Manekshaw is not a biopic. I'm looking
at the man, his life and his times. I'm way over my head over here (the story).”
Same Manekshaw was the Chief of Army Staff of Indian Army. He commanded the Indian soldiers during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Manekshaw was the first Indian Officer who was promoted to the rank of a field Marshall.
Talking about the Vicky and Meghna, the two have previously worked together for Raazi which was an epic film of 2018. The film starred Alia Bhatt opposite Vicky in the film. Alia played the role of Indian spy and Vicky was portraying the role of a Pakistani army officer.
Talking about Vicky's other projects, he will also be seen in a biopic of Sardar Udham Singh. Vicky took over the internet when he revealed the first look of his character.
In November, he has another film coming up titled 'Bhoot'. The film will release on 15th November.
