Wamiqa Gabbi, an actress who is as unique as her name but if we have to sum her up in just one line, that would be an understatement. Having started her journey from Bollywood in Jab We Met in 2007, this hazel eye-coloured Chandigarh brat is, in reality, the blue-eyed star of the cinematic future.
Wamiqa's dream was to become an actress since childhood and she started working towards from a young age. After bagging a small role in Jab We Met, she made her debut in a full-fledged role in Honey Singh & Amrinder Gill-starrer, Main Tera 22, Tu Mera 22. Instantly, her pretty face and natural acting ability found a place in everyone's heart. Do you know what her introductory line is on her Instagram handle says? "I'm that Girl you've seen somewhere but can't remember where." There... this is enough to explain what kind of person she is; bubbly, down to earth, skilful and ever so graceful.
Moreover, she is very humble to say that people can't 'remember' where they might have seen her because she has played some substantial roles in movies across 4 different film industries including Hindi, Punjabi, Malayali and Tamil. (No doubt she has excelled in so many industries) And can you believe she did all this by the age of just 25. Yeah, just 25!!
After starring as a lead actress in Ishq Brandi in 2014, she didn't look back. And now, she is back with a list of movies which is going to take her to new heights in her career. Her latest film, 'Nikka Zaildar 3' is releasing on 20th September in which she will be seen playing the lead role opposite Ammy Virk.
Simerjit Singh is directing the film while the story and
screenplay are written by Jagdeep Sidhu. Co-produced by Viacom 18 Pictures and
Patiala Motion Pictures, this will be the third movie of the franchise they
will produce together. There
is no doubt that she is meant for bigger things in her life as an actor &
performer since she has already achieved so much and still going strong!
As soon as she gets done with Nikka (which looks like a massive hit already), she has a few more roles in her kitty. One is Doorbeen where Ninja will be seen opposite her and the other one is Jassie Gill-starrer, Kaun Aa Yaar. Besides that, she has a bigger fish to fry in the shape of her multi-starrer movie '83, a movie based on India's successful quest for first cricket World Cup
We wish Wamiqa all the love and best wishes for her future endeavours and we hope to see her holding the Black lady sooner than later.
