Whatsapp is a messaging and voice over service that has connected billions of people around the world. Over the years, it has got a lot of new features which has added convenience to modern day instant messaging. The new extraordinary features have given an ultra-edge to this app.
These features are as follows:
Change in ‘Delete For everyone’ feature
Whatsapp has again changed its ‘Delete For Everyone’ feature which it had recently changed. It may have happened to a lot of users that they accidently delete a file, document or image that is sent to them on Whatsapp. Now, the users can download a media file if they’ve accidently deleted them. This feature is available only for android users as per WABeta report. Users can even download a media file which they’ve deleted 3 months ago. However, this redownload feature is not for text messages.
WABetaInfo asserted that "Since a few days, WhatsApp allows downloading deleted media from their servers again. This automatically translates into the fact that WhatsApp continues to store our media on their servers also after downloading them."
Delete accidently sent messages within an hour
Whatsapp has this feature that you can delete a sent message for yourself or the group or for everyone within a span of 7 minutes. Now, the company is considering to extend this time for up to 68 minutes. This feature too will be initially for android users and then for iOS and Windows users. This new feature will be for the beta version of the Whatsapp. Even these Beta also featured 'Forwarded Message Label' (which can label the message sent to the user, whether the message received was actually a forwarded message).
Whatsapp Payments’ new Request money feature
Whatsapp payments on Android Beta has a new feature where users can request money from their friends and other contacts. The ‘request money’ feature is only available on Beta version of Android. Regular Android users won’t be able to access it. These payments will be made through the user’s UPI id linked with their bank account.
There will be other changes followed by a change in emojis and these changes will be implemented by the end of this year.
