Undefeated in over 500 matches the pride of Punjab ‘Dara Singh’ now stands tall at the hall of fame of WWE. WWE organized its annual WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on the 6th April 2018 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans USA where the company inducted the class of 2018 superstars into its Hall of Fame in recognition of their contribution to the company and to the world of Sports entertainment.
Boris Malenko, Lord Alfred Hayes, Rufus R. “Freight Train” Jones, “Golden Greek” Jim Londos, Cora Combs, Stan Stasiak, Hiro Matsuda, Sputnik Monroe and El Santo were the other wrestle manianc’s who were inducted at the WWE hall of fame.
He wrestled in the 1940's till 1983 and got in the ring with likes of Japanese pro-wrestling pioneer Rikidōzan, WWE legend Lou Thesz, whom he beat for the World championship. Singh was also inducted into the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame in 1996.

This lord of the ring boasted a 53-inch-wide chest, which made him a favorite in many tournaments. He battled all over the eastern hemisphere, capturing the Commonwealth Championship and titles in India and Singapore.
After his retirement from wrestling, he featured as ‘Hanuman’ in the very famous Ramanand Sagar’s show “Ramayana” which lended him more recognition among the urban-rural audience in the country. He was also seen in various Hindi movies such as Faulad, Mard, Mera Naam Joker, Jab We Met, Sultana Daku, Anand, Daku Mangal Singh and Dharmatma. Not just limited to wrestling and acting he was an eminent politician as well.
