YET AGAIN! A PUNJABI FILM REACHES CANNES: DEEP SIDHU TO UNVEIL 'SAADE AALE'

Last year it was Satinder Sartaj starrer 'The Black Prince' official trailer which got released at Cannes. And this time once again a Punjabi flick that will be representing Punjabi Entertainment Industry at one of the biggest film festival Cannes 2018 is "Saade Aale". The backdrop of this film is Punjab rural life..."Sadde Aale means "Apne" in Hindi and "Our Own" in English...it's a story of human relations, emotions, their Love and Hatred, happiness, celebrations and belonging...rural sports culture is a backdrop of this film's treatment. The protagonist of the film and 'Jora 10 Numbaria' of Pollywood has already reached the foreign state sharing it on his official FB handle, Deep Sidhu quoted;

On my way to Cannes...Gratitude🙏...

Their families don't get along well with due to an old rivalry between them and it is because of that rivalry Manjeet and Bikkar also dislike each other. However, while playing kabaddi, a sort of rural sport, they slowly come close and in that process, they become really thick friends. Thereafter with an intention to bring harmony and peace amongst their families they take initiative and get their respective families together as well so the rivalry ends. It is when everything becomes alright and the story is progressing towards a happy and bright direction then in some freak accident Bikkar dies unexpectedly that too at a time when Manjeet and Bikkar were together. Bikkar's family feels that Manjeet has killed him and the killing was pre-planned, thereafter, their old rivalry resurfaces. Now from here onwards how the entire story unfolds is what "Sadde Aale" is all about. In the end "Love and Belonging" prevails over ego fear and hatred. Bathinde Wale Bai presents in association with Kuknoos Films the movie is slated to release on May 16 at Cannes 2018, indeed a proud moment for all the Punjabis across the world.
