A passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru faced an unusual and distressing situation as he got stuck inside the lavatory for almost the entire journey due to a malfunctioning door. The incident occurred on January 16, lasting for around an hour. SpiceJet’s spokesperson stated that the cabin crew provided continuous assistance and guidance to the passenger during the ordeal.

Upon the flight’s arrival in Bengaluru, an engineer was promptly summoned to address the malfunctioning lavatory door, successfully opening it. Medical professionals immediately attended to the passenger to assess his well-being.

The passenger had reportedly entered the lavatory soon after the seatbelt signs were turned off. Realizing the door malfunction, one of the air hostesses comforted the flyer with a note, explaining the situation and advising him to close the commode lid, sit on it, and secure himself until the main door could be opened for an engineer’s assistance.

The SpiceJet spokesperson reassured that the crew made continuous efforts to aid the passenger and that appropriate medical support was provided upon landing. The incident highlights the challenges and quick thinking required in managing unexpected situations during flights.
