Historic Ayodhya Temple Inundated with Devotees, Reverberates with ‘Treta Yug’ Spirit
In an extraordinary surge reminiscent of the mythical ‘Treta Yug,’ devotees from far and wide converged upon Ayodhya as the doors of the Ram Mandir were thrown open to the public. Chief Priest Acharya Satyendra Das expressed his elation, comparing the bustling temple town to the divine era when Lord Ram graced the sacred grounds.
“After Pran Pratishtha, the (Ayodhya) Nagari has turned pure. A glimpse of the Treta Yug is visible today. So many Bhakts have come to Ayodhya now, and Jai Shree Ram chants are echoing here; it seems that we have gone back to Ayodhya during the Treta Yug times,” remarked Acharya Satyendra Das.
The historic consecration ceremony on Monday, known as Pran Pratishtha, marked the beginning of what the chief priest foresees as the advent of Ram Rajya, where inequalities will dissipate, and harmony will prevail. The ceremony culminated with the opening of the temple doors to the public on Tuesday morning.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the gathered invitees, celebrated the arrival of “our Ram” after ages of anticipation. “Our Ram Lalla will no longer live in a tent. Our Ram Lalla will stay in a magnificent temple,” he declared.
However, the overwhelming turnout surpassed the administration’s expectations, with several lakh people thronging the Ram Mandir to pay homage to Ram Lalla, creating an atmosphere of unprecedented devotion. The Ayodhya administration, taken aback by the magnitude of the crowd, is ensuring smooth proceedings as the sacred city revels in this monumental moment of spiritual unity.
